Outdoor concerts free to all!
The North Coast Big Band performs during a Verandah Concert.When the outdoor temperatures start to heat up, the Hayes Presidential Center’s 2013 Verandah Concerts provide the perfect way to ‘chill out.’ These outdoor events not only offer the relaxation of listening to some of the area’s top musical groups, but also provide free ice cream! Sponsorship from Fremont Federal Credit Union makes it possible for everyone to attend the concerts free of charge.

admission to the verandah concerts at the hayes presidential center is free thanks to fremont federal credit union.Each concert begins at 6:45 p.m. with an old-fashioned ice cream social. Musical entertainment starts at 7 p.m. and lasts about an hour. The 80-foot long verandah on the home of 19th U.S. President Rutherford B. Hayes serves as the stage for performers. Attendees should bring their own chairs or blankets and are invited to choose a favorite spot on the expansive and shady lawn in front of the home.

This year’s series includes six concerts takes place every other Wednesday night during June, July, and August. The dates and entertainment line-up include

June 12 – the Fostoria Community Band

June 26 – Honey Creek Preservation Band

July 10 – Cottonwood Jam String Band

July 24 - musician/vocalist Kerry Clark

Aug. 7 – Gary Jones, winner of the 2012 Fremont's Got Talent

Aug. 21 – North Coast Big Band
