Class makes genealogy searches easier

Researching your family’s history can be as close as your home computer, but finding the best websites and resources can be frustrating. The Hayes Presidential Center’s Internet Genealogy I Class can help. Sponsored by RootsMagic,™ the next class takes place 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 13, in the Hayes Research Library. Head Librarian Becky Hill leads the expanded Internet Genealogy I Class. Attendees receive instruction on the basics of using free genealogical websites as they undertake researching their family history. Such Internet sources as the Hayes Center's Ohio Obituary Index, along with FamilySearch.org, USGenweb.org, Worldcat.org, EllisIsland.org will be explored in depth.

The Hayes Research Library houses one of the area's most comprehensive collections of genealogy resource materials. Knowledgeable staff always is on hand to help with questions and advice. Computers with Internet access also are available for use free of charge.
